HOW TO SIDE KICK

  1. From a neutral standing position, kick one leg forward.
    Your foot should be about an inch off the floor.
  2. Step with the leg that’s kicking forward.
    As you step, make sure you position your foot more towards the diagonal. This will help make the move more dynamic.
  3. While you step, kick your heel forward.
    Your leg should be bent to almost 90 degrees and your knee slightly turning inward.
    At this point, your original kicking leg is now on the ground and your other leg in this awkward kicking position.
  4. Bring the foot that’s kicking back down, and bring the leg that was on the floor back into it’s original position.
  5. Switch your feet.
    One leg should be straight while the other on the ground.
  6. Repeat the same process on the other foot.
